Electricians at work in Norway

General:

Working hours:

normal dayshift	37,5 hours per. week
2- shift	36,5 hours per. week
3- shift	35,5 hours per. week
3-shift incl.weekend	33,6 hours per. week

Reduced weekly hours fully compensated.

Work away from home:
The normal work schedule is 12 days on and 9 days off with 10,5 hours a day, sunday off.

Work offshore:
The normal schedule is 14 days on, 21 days off, 14 days on and 28 days off, 12 hours per.day. (33,6 h/w Vacation included.)

Statutory holidays:
Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Ascension Day, Whit Monday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, 1. January, 1. and 17. May.

Union representation and fee:
The electricians are represented by the Norwegian Union of Electricians and IT Workers and also covered by this union´s agreements at all work in Norway. In addition to union fee in the home country there is, in accordance with norwegian agreement, an extra fee of 1,7 % to the norwegian union.
